
It took me awhile to get into “Mass Effect,” but once I did, I couldn’t stop. Even in the middle of some of my weekly multiplayer sessions with my friends, I kept thinking ‘You know, I could be exploring the galaxy and continuing to hunt down Saren instead of this pointless battle over some flags in the middle of a ruined Middle Eastern city (aka. “Call of Duty 4″).’

There are quite a few folks on our friends list who are new to “Call of Duty 4.” As a public service, I offer Ropoleon’s Top 3 CoD4 Tips:
1) Thinking is your enemy. If you ever find yourself planning, scheming or otherwise reasoning your way through the game, you are almost certainly putting yourself (and your team) at a disadvantage. No matter how clever you think your plan may be, it will invariably be foiled by a blindly thrown grenade, unfortunate enemy spawns (¡Que lastima!) or the Random Gods of CoD4. Truly successful CoD4 players shut down the rational part of their brains and operate on a strict stimulus/response cycle.
