A dark cloud has been hanging over Thursday Game Night these past few weeks. Players have been quietly lining up on different sides of a growing chasm between those that prefer the classic gameplay of “Halo 3” and those that prefer the more frenetic action of “Call of Duty 4.” In the interest of preventing a schism (like those seen in small-town Baptist churches) I will shoulder the burden of scientifically deriving which of the two games is in fact superior.
Ok, this is either really cool or really dorky… don’t ask my wife (she wouldn’t understand).
For fun, I found this application called “Comic Book Creator,” where you can import your images and add captions to create a comic. These are actual screenshots from one of our matches. The event depicted was real, including the dialogue at the end. That’s what inspired this…

Over the past weekend, I ventured online with a couple of friends into the multiplayer world of “Call of Duty 4.”
I was late to the game and most of my friends that night had already been playing a bit. Whether it was confusion based on playing a different shooter online or the lack of even teams, I was getting killed left and right. I didn’t know what to do or where to go and by the time I stood a chance, two of the friends left to go back into their comfort zone of “Halo 3.” Three of us stayed behind and went out against the “unwashed.” I’m glad I did.
The free “Heroic Map Pack” from Bungie inspired us to put “Halo 3” back into our Xbox 360s. Throughout the course of the evening, I kept looking for an event which might be worthy of
